Privacy Policy

DeckMate is a deck-quoting tool and a marketplace connecting homeowners with local carpenters and suppliers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run DeckMate, and share only what’s needed:

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and protected with access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.

DeckMate is intended for adults arranging building work. It is not directed at people under 16.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.

9. Do not sell or share my information

DeckMate does not sell personal information, and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The only sharing is what the service needs to work (section 3). If you would still like to record a "do not sell or share" request, or to have your data deleted, email info@deckmate.com.au with the subject "Do not sell or share my information" and we will confirm within 30 days. You can also delete your account from inside the app at any time.
