Do I need to be good with computers?
If you can use a phone and a tape measure, you're overqualified. Drag out the shape, pick the decking, slide the markup, hit send. No CAD, no training videos, no manual.
Where do the material prices come from?
DECKMATE ships with a Melbourne trade-price library — merbau, spotted gum, blackbutt, composite, subframe timber, stumps, fixings and labour. Every rate is editable, so you can match your own supplier in a couple of minutes and it stays your rate from then on.
Does it handle steps, pergolas and odd shapes?
Yes. L-shapes and U-shapes with drag handles, steps dropped anywhere on an edge, and pergolas with movable posts and a pitched roof. The takeoff and the 3D update as you go.
Is the estimate a fixed quote or a guide?
It's a proper takeoff — boards, bearers, joists, stumps, screws and labour hours counted from your drawing at your rates. You're the builder: check it, tweak any line, then send. DECKMATE does the maths, you own the number.
What happens after the 3 free quotes?
Nothing sneaky — we don't take a card up front, so you can't get bill-shocked. Your first three quotes are the full product; they just carry one small “Quoted with DeckMate” line at the bottom. Go Premium to remove it and keep going. If you don't, your existing quotes stay readable and you can still export your PDFs. Cancel anytime, no lock-in contract.
